Parris has many years of experience in helping his clients get the best bang for their buck in advertising. He was a top producer for a major weekly magazine in Lafayette. He is well known in Acadiana for being extremely creative in his approach to helping to find the right marketing avenue for his clients. After deciding to make a difference in a new direction, Parris decided to leave the big company to make something big for himself and his children.
Parris has helped raise money for various charities and also helped bring the filming industry to Acadiana. He is a minority partner in Acadiana’s only Film Production Company.
Parris is originally from New Orleans. He and Portal Co-Owner, Jason Lopez went to high school together and first met on a school bus back in the early 80’s. After High School, he moved to Lafayette and completed his Bachelors Degree at Southwestern Louisiana in Mass Communication. Today, he has two beautiful children and resides in Lafayette.

Jason is originally from New Orleans and went to the same High School as Portal Director Parris Plaisance. He has owned several companies over the years including a web hosting company in the mid 90’s in Houston, Texas. He also got into the training industry as one of the youngest instructors for a major International Training organization. He loved both training and the advances in technology with the Internet.
He and his former internet business partners considered themselves to be on the bleeding edge of the internet boom. After the Internet Crash of 2000, he regretfully took a few years off away from the industry searching for Internet version 2.0.
After years of research and development he is excited to create a local internet portal that everyone in Acadiana can use. After searching for several months for the right person as business partner, he partnered up with his old high school bus mate Parris with Acadiana Portal.com
Lopez has a degree in construction engineering technology from Louisiana Tech University. He has completed graduate and executive-level coursework in business administration from both ULL and LSU. The majority of his extensive business training has come through impressive, real-world experiences. Today he and his wife Betsy live in Lafayette and have 2 beautiful children.
